This issue focuses on the analysis of the world of death – a point of departure from which to study the world of the living. The contributions address this issue from different perspectives: the location of rural necropolises, the various types of burial practices, the iconography of funerary monuments, anthropological analyses of human remains or changes to rituals over time.
